Coffees from specialist coffee houses are pretty expensive and it all adds up when you’re buying one everyday. The Minipresso can help to drastically reduce this expenditure down to zero by providing freshly filtered coffee wherever you are with its built-in espresso cup, scoop, filter and pump grind. It can hold 7 to 8 scoops of ground coffee and has a 70ml water capacity both of which you will have to provide yourself.
There’s no need for electricity, batteries, cartridges or compressed air as all that’s needed for operation is hand power combined with its 8 bar pressure.
You unlock the semi-automatic piston button trigger in the middle so it pops out and press it to inject water into the coffee filter which then releases the extracted coffee complete with a lovely crema into the awaiting espresso cup. Take a sniff and sip and ahh…you’ve got your own pick-me-up.
Although the coffee produced from this portable espresso machine won’t be as good as the coffee fresh from the main machine, it still beats those crappy tasting poor excuse of a coffee from standard cafés. That’s unless you’re using poor quality ground coffee.
Wacaco’s clever little gadget is ideal for lovers of coffee and can be taken anywhere whether it’s for camping, backpacking or holiday. However, if you’re going to Italy, don’t bother bringing this because we all know the coffee there is excellent wherever you go. Anyone who uses a thermos or travel mug for their coffee will enjoy using this as well. It’s a high price to pay initially but that money is regained with the amount you save from the coffee house.
